In a 2005, the Giant's Causeway was named as the fourth greatest natural wonder in the United Kingdom. According to one of the legends, the giant Finn McCool fancied a female giant on the Scottish island of Staffa and built some stepping stones to the island where similar rock formations are found. The more prosaic explanation is that lava erupted from an underground fissure and crystallised some 60 million years ago. Post tour return to Belfast and do a city tour. Overnight in Belfast. Dublin has enough department stores to keep even the most die-hard shopper happy. Brown Thomas on Grafton Street is a salubrious spot with an enormous shoe hall and top designer labels. Arnotts on Henry Street has re-invented itself in the last decade and is now a gleaming behemoth, with more emphasis on high-street labels than designer.
