Day 1 : Welcome to Kunming – known as the 'City of Eternal Spring'.

Arrive Kunming, which boasts a long and interesting history. Kunming developed rapidly into an industrial metropolis and its chief industries are the production of copper, lead, and zinc. Meet your friendly Travel Professional outside the baggage hall and proceed to the hotel. (Check-in after 1500 hrs.). Later proceed for a Stone Forest Excursion - This forest of stone, formed by erosion over millions of years, is comprised of many stone peaks, pillars and stalagmites rising abruptly from the ground and extending as far as the eye can see. Enjoy some cheap shopping at the free Flower market shopping at Golden Horse and Jade Rooster. Overnight in Kunming. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Day 2 : Fly to Lhasa – Lands of the Gods.

Early this morning proceed to airport for your flight to Lhasa - the "Land of the Gods" which is over 1,300 years old. Lhasa sits in a valley right next to the Lhasa River. Proceed to your conveniently located hotel. Rest of the day is free to relax or explore the city on your own. Overnight in Lhasa. (Breakfast/Dinner)

Day 3 : Enjoy a tour of Potala Palace - a museum and a World Heritage Site. Visit Jokhang - a Buddhist temple in Barkhor Square.

Today we visit Potala Palace - a must-see attraction in Lhasa. The magnificent Potala Palace, once the seat of the Tibetan government and the winter residence of the Dalai Lamas, is Lhasa's cardinal landmark. When the Dalai Lama was exiled to India in 1959, the Chinese government took over and converted the grounds into a museum. It still remains an iconic part of the region and a mecca for Buddhists around the world. Later proceed to visit Jokhang Monastery, a Buddhist temple in Barkhor Square, and the Jokhang Temple, built by the Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo. Overnight in Lhasa. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Day 4 : Visit Sera Monastery, one of the three great monasteries in Tibet. Visit Yamdrok Lake.

Today we visit proceed to Yamdrok lake. Nestled among the flanks of the dull gray and green mountains, the sacred Lake Yamdrok glows in various colors, like turquoise and emerald. Lake Yamdrok, Lake Nam, and Lake Manasorova are the three sacred lakes of Tibet. Lake Yamdrok is said to help Tibetans find the reincarnated soul of the Dalai Lama. Later this afternoon visit the Sera Monastery, one of three famous monasteries in the city along with the Drepung Monastery and the Ganden Monastery. It was built in 1419, during the Ming Dynasty. The monastery was named Sera, which means wild rose in the Tibetan language, because the hill behind it was covered with wild roses in bloom during its construction. Overnight in Lhasa. Day 5 : Enjoy a scenic train journey from Lhasa to Xian via Xining.

Today proceed to the Railway Station for the train to Xining. Xining is an ancient highland city on the Yellow River, which offers many scenic spots and historical sites. Overnight onboard the Train. (Breakfast/Packed Lunch/Dinner) (Dinner will be provided in the train. Train meals are of a limited variety. It may not be up to your satisfaction or liking. we suggest you carry some extra provisions of food for this journey).

Day 6 : Arrive Xining and then to Xi’an by fast train. Evening enjoy the Tang Dynasty Show.

Arrive Xining station. Board your fast train to Xi’an - located in central-northwest China. The citadel of Xi’an records the great changes of the country like a living history book. It also marks the Silk Road’s eastern end. This evening enjoy ‘The Tang Dynasty Xi’an’, a premier cultural entertainment theatre featuring a cultural Tang Dynasty dance performance complimented by a live classical Chinese orchestra. Day 7 : Visit the Terracotta Warrior Museum.

Today enjoy a visit to the Terracotta Warrior Museum. The Terracotta Warriors were created by the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huangdi. Over 8000 fantastic life-size clay warriors protected his tomb. The Famous Terracotta Army - is now referred to as the eighth wonder of the ancient world. This amazing man conquered and united China from a collection of warring states to become its First Emperor. He built the Great Wall and amassed great works of art. Afternoon take an orientation tour of Xi’an, one of the most ancient cities in the country and famous for being home to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. Xi’an is 3100 years old and has a rich history of being the terminus of the Silk Road. Visit China's most integrated and best-preserved Ming dynasty City Wall, which has long been a widely admired landmark for visitors to Xi’an. Overnight in Xi’an. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Day 8 : Enjoy a High Speed Bullet train ride to Beijing - Capital of China. Evening Kung Fu Show.

Morning board your coach and proceed to the railway station to board the High Speed Bullet train for Beijing. Welcome to Beijing - gateway to China. The rest of the day is at leisure. This evening witness the magnificent Kung Fu Show. Overnight in Beijing. (Breakfast/Packed Lunch/Dinner)

Day 9 : Visit the magnificent Great Wall of China. Enjoy a guided tour of the Summer Palace.

Depart for an excursion to The Great Wall, one of the greatest wonders of the world. With a history of about 2,700 years, some of the Great Wall sections are now in ruins or have disappeared. However, the Great Wall of China is still one of the most appealing attractions all around the world owing to its architectural grandeur and historical significance. Later proceed on a guided tour of the Summer Palace. The Summer Palace is a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces in Beijing. It was a regal garden of the Qing Dynasty. It is said to be the best preserved imperial garden in the world. The Palace was acclaimed as a World Heritage site in 1998. Further, get a fascinating insight into the prosperous past and present of China’s capital and capture fantastic photographs of the city sights. Day 10 : Enjoy a guided tour of the Forbidden City with a visit to the Tiananmen Square. Visit the Temple of Heaven.

Today, start your day with a visit to the Forbidden City on a guided tour. The Forbidden City, also known as the Palace Museum, lies at the city center of Beijing, and once served as the imperial palace for 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Rectangular in shape, it is the world's largest Palace complex and is stretched over 74 hectares. Visit the Tiananmen Square - one of the largest public squares in the world. The Square is in front of the Forbidden City and has a number of sights of its own. Proceed to visit the Temple of Heaven Park, located in the Chongwen District of Beijing. This was originally the place where emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasty held the heaven worship ceremony. Overnight in Beijing. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Day 11 : Enjoy a ride in the High-speed Bullet Train to Shanghai. Enjoy an Acrobatic Show.

Proceed to the Railway Station to board a Hi-speed train to Shanghai. Enjoy a nice scenic experience while you relax on the train. Arrive in Shanghai – China’s biggest city and a global financial hub. The city's multicultural flair endows it with a unique glamour. Here, one finds the perfect blend of cultures, the modern and the traditional, and the western and the oriental. Enjoy an amazing Acrobatic show with dangerous stunts, magic, comedy, theater, and Chinese acrobatic arts. Day 12 : Explore the city on a guided city tour of Shanghai. Ride the World’s fastest Maglev train. Enjoy a cruise on River Hang Pu.

Start the morning by exploring the local history, culture, lifestyle & customs of Shanghai on the guided city tour. The Shanghai maglev train is a magnetic levitation train. Enjoy a one-way ride on the Maglev Train to get the experience of the world's fastest commercially operating train. Visit the Bund Area - A Shanghai Icon. A panorama of various architectural styles which is honored as the exotic building clusters. Enjoy a spectacular view from the 2nd Level of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, one of the world's tallest TV and radio tower with a height of 468 meters. Later visit the Pearl Factory to shop from the ancient art of pearl culture which offers a wide range of authentic pearl jewelry made out of Freshwater Pearls. Day 13 : Visit Zhujiajiao Water Town - One of the Most Popular Water Towns near Shanghai.

Visit Zhujiajiao, a township in the suburb of Shanghai city. Zhujiajiao Water Town is well-known with a history of more than 1,700 years. Endowed with another elegant name - 'Pearl Stream' - the town is the best-preserved ancient town of the country. See the imposing gardens, Old narrow lanes, the stone and wooden bridges and the ancient buildings that make this town unique. Today enjoy free time at Nanjing Road - the main shopping street of Shanghai, and one of the world's busiest shopping streets. Overnight in Shanghai. (Breakfast/Lunch/ Dinner)

Day 14 : Depart and fly back home.

MEDICAL INSURANCE
  • Normal insurance charges for the duration of the tour are included in the tour price. However, any passenger above the age of 60 years and those passengers who wish to extend their stay will be required to pay additional charges.

  • The cost of the Passport, POE charges, etc.
  • Any expenses of personal nature such as porterage, laundry, wines, mineral/bottled water, food & drink not in the regular menus provided by us, mini bar and telephone calls.
  • Meals are pre-set and a choice of menu is not available.
  • The Mandatory driver tip of USD 03 per person per day is not included in the tour cost.
  • Cost of excursions, city sightseeing, entrance fees and local guides availed of by the passengers, other than that mentioned in the ‘What your tour price includes’.
  • Surcharges incase applicable on certain departure dates.
  • Government Service Taxes and other taxes as applicable.

Notes

  • Guests are advised that arrangements in Lhasa are fairly Spartan i.e. simple and not particularly comfortable.
  • The third person in a Triple room might not be provided with an extra bed or cot in some of the hotels, they may be provided only with a rollaway bed. 
  • Due to Fire Safety Compliance regulations, 04 guests in 1 room are not allowed in many hotels, therefore 02 adults and 2 children or 3 adults and 1 child will not be accommodated in 01 room. A maximum of 03 persons can be accommodated in a room.
  • Panoramic/ Orientation city tour means view from your coach of the sights and monuments as you drive past. No visit to the sights/monuments and no photostop might be provided.
  • Due to operational issues on some days, there might be packed meals offered.
  • Services of our Tour Manager or local representatives will be available while on tour.
  • Kindly note that on certain departure dates the tour routing could change. In some tours, there is also a possibility that the tour could operate in reverse itinerary. However, you will not miss any sightseeing or excursions that are mentioned in the itinerary.
